Yogen Früz was founded in 1986 by brothers Aaron and Michael Serruya in Toronto, Canada, with their brother Simon joining the company in 1989. The brand opened the first revolutionary frozen yogurt retail concept at Promenade Mall in Thornhill, Ontario. What began as a modest effort—a small store with a great design and a strong concept—impressed one of Canada's largest mall operators who decided to take a chance on a new tenant with no track record.

Today, the brand has expanded beyond frozen yogurt to include smoothies and a Früz Tea line of bubble teas, slushes, popping sodas and more. The family of brands is now one of the world's leading treat and snack conglomerates with over 1,500 locations operating in more than 35 countries around the globe. Every 3 seconds, a Yogen Früz product is sold.
